MADDOX PLANNING
A DIFFERENT APPROACH LONDON & MANCHESTER 0845 121 1706
ABOUT US We’ve always had a strong sense of purpose to provide trusted tailored advice in contributing to the achievement of sustainable development and in doing so we want to maximise positive customer experience; use and advance information technology for the betterment of our profession; develop our own skills and professional satisfaction; and make our profession more accessible to a diverse future talent pool by inspiring young people. To do this, we regularly review our processes to eliminate or reduce every point of friction in customer experience such as making contact with us as accessible as possible and allocating two or more staff to each project to reduce any disruptions in service delivery; invest in and be leaders of information technology by supporting plan tech product studios that are applied directly to our own workflows through our custom built online database; operate a project lifecycle model in the delivery of our work so that all staff get hands on experience of every aspect of our work; and we volunteer at a business and education partnership at schools and colleges to improve young people’s access to the world of work, raise achievement levels and enhance their future career prospects and lives. Importantly, we encourage and promote entrepreneurship so that we can speak openly about new creative ideas that have the potential to change the way we do things and we aim for a safe and enjoyable environment in which to work based on collaborative respect for each other. We think that you’ll enjoy working with us.
PROJECTS With over 1,000 projects to our name, it’s not possible to show all our work, but we hope that this booklet gives you a feel for the diversity of schemes that we advise on. As a team, we seek to develop supportive and collaborative relationships with our clients, the development team, the local planning authority, statutory and non-statutory consultees, elected members and, of course, local people. We subscribe to a project lifecycle model of working, which means that all team members are all involved in every aspect of a project to ensure that you have continuity of service and availability of resources and all levels of expertise at all times. Our relationships with those that we work with are fundamental to our success and testament to our longstanding engagements with clients, some of which have lasted for decades. In our work we have a proven track record in considering stakeholder needs and we have won an award for our community engagement with Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, saying on one of our schemes ‘this is a great example of how big developments should work, working with local communities to design real neighbourhoods that work for the existing community’. We have a collaborative approach to engagement, and we seek to identify, understand and resolve issues associated with a proposed development at an early stage. We aim to identify common ground at the outset as usually we have more in common than differences and having understood common objectives helps to foster trust, conversation and a positive attitude to resolving concerns. If this approach resonates with you then please call us, we’d love to hear from you.
