KATA PENGANTAR Puji syukur kami panjatkan kehadirat Tuhan YME sehingga buku Modul Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris Kelas X Smt 1 dapat kami susun sebagai penunjang pembelajaran pada Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Buku ini disusun berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 Edisi Revisi 2017 dengan tujuan memperkuat kompetensi siswa baik afektif, knowledge dan skill secara menyeluruh. Buku ini berisi materi pembelajaran yang membekali siswa tentang sikap mental yang baik melalui penugasan, juga berisi materi yang mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan siswa. Modul ini menjabarkan usaha minimal yang harus dilakukan siswa untuk mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan. Sesuai dengan pendekatan yang dipergunakan dalam Kurikulum 2013, siswa diberanikan untuk mencari dari sumber belajar lain yang tersedia dan terbentang luas di sekitarnya. Peran guru sangat penting untuk meningkatkan dan menyesuaikan daya serap siswa dengan ketersediaan kegiatan pada buku ini. Guru dapat memperkayanya dengan kreasi dalam bentuk kegiatan-kegiatan lain yang sesuai dan relevan yang bersumber dari lingkungan sosial dan alam. Implementasi terbatas pada tahun pelajaran 2020-2021 telah mendapat tanggapan yang sangat positif dan masukan yang sangat berharga. Pengalaman tersebut dipergunakan semaksimal mungkin dalam menyiapkan buku untuk implementasi menyeluruh pada tahun pelajaran 2021-2022 dan seterusnya. Modul ini merupakan edisi pertama dan sangat terbuka dan terus dilakukan perbaikan dan penyempurnaan dimasa mendatang. Material Summary Have you ever done self-introduction? People must ever do it in spite of doing once in their life time. They need to introduce themselves when they are new in a community such as in neighbourhood. They commonly tell their self-identity, such as name, address, occupation, activity, and hobby. They also tell their family relationship; for example, with whom they live, and their parents’ name. To tell selfidentity and family relationship, it’s necessary to understand well the way of doing it. Grammar 4 ‘Will’ to express a voluntary action (something you do for someone) ‘Will’ often suggests that a speaker will do something voluntarily. A voluntary action is one the speaker offers to do for someone else. Often, we use ‘will’ to respond to someone else’s complaint or request for help. We also use ‘will’ when we request that someone help us or voluntarily to do something for us. Similarly, we use ‘will not’ or ‘won’t’ when we refuse to voluntarily do something Example : I will send you the information when I get it. Will you help me move this heavy table? A countable noun can be singular (car) or plural (car). We can use numbers with countable nouns. So we can say ‘one car’, ‘two cars’, etc.
Uncountable nouns
An uncountable noun has only one form. Example: music

We cannot use numbers with uncountable nouns. We cannot say ‘one music’ or ‘two musics.’

I always fall in love with basketball shoes. It is not because I like to play basketball, I just feel comfort and confidence with it. I finally got one from my father when we were in Solo three years ago. At that moment, when I came to the store with my father, I try a couple of shoes, and when I put this one on me, I knew it right away that this is my favourite shoes. The colour of my favourite shoes is black. There are two grey stripes on the outer side of the shoes. The colour of the sole is white with some circular pattern painted in black on the bottom of it. The surface of the sole is flat, which means this shoes has no heel. The shoes has white shoelace and two straps binding the eye stay of the shoes. It makes the tongue of the shoes always in steady position. The insole is made of foam rubber and the colour is red. It is very soft and comfortable.
