Racor Village Marine Forward Thinking in Reverse Osmosis Engineering For over 30 years, Racor Village Marine (VMT) has developed innovative water desalination and purification solutions for some of the most challenging environments – 800 feet below the sea level, offshore oilrigs, deserts, and land based disaster areas. NASA and FEMA agencies relied on VMT to develop self-contained reverse osmosis plants for disaster relief programs. The Navy contracted VMT to meet RO water standards that can be used with the nuclear reactors on the submarines. Catalina Island sought VMT’s expertise to ensure a steady water supply in drought conditions. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, the Army counted on VMT RO equipment to keep a hospital open. The R & D required for high-profile government projects has enabled VMT engineers to develop innovative ways to produce the most reliable RO systems in the world.
Navy expectations in quality and delivery. When the first VMT reverse osmosis system was designed and installed on the U.S. Navy submarine USS Dolphin in 1993, the system had to undergo rigorous testing. This was part of the approval process that proved the plant passed with a 100% rating. The equipment performed flawlessly, 24/7 for 90 consecutive days. Fresh water for every vessel. RMF Remineralizer Systems Racor Village Marine Remineralizer Systems offer pH neutralization of RO water and are specifically engineered to operate with Village Marine PW and SW Series Watermakers. The media restores a buffer capacity to raise pH and reduce fresh water “aggressiveness” against metal pipes and fixtures.
