REFORM In the reform baraza we were able to have fruitful discussions with all those present. We started of with discourse of the scene from dangal that we showed to the others and the portrayal of gender stereotypes on various forms of media like in the scriptures, other movies etc. From there the conversation steered to stereotypes and discrimination faced by the attendees themselves who talked about the role of family in reinforcing such beliefs into us at a young age. We concluded the session with a pledge by our group members " We pledge to treat all genders equally , challenge gender stereotypes, be the change we want to see, mobilise all sectors, raise our voice for what is right and treat everyone with respect. " As baraza leaders our main take away from the wonderful symposium was that when like minded people congregate to bring change , anything is possible.
