Fortunately, it helped keep people out of the dole and helped them keep their pride Unfortunately, it was more expensive for the government to create jobs than to give handouts

Farm Security Administration Originally Resettlement Administration Act of 1935 Fortunately, it provided Temporary housing to farmers affected by the Dust Bowl, and loaned over $1 billion to help set up camps for migrant workers Unfortunately, it gave farmers more money to spend on equipment, which left those not affected by disaster behind in production yield.

It’s purpose was to protect the rights of organized labor groups Fortunately, it legalized practices such as closed shops, and introduced the formation of Unions Unfortunately, the formation of unions led to organized and legal strikes that caused factories and corporations lots of money

Social Security Administration It’s purpose was to administer a national pension fund for retired, unemployed, disabled persons, and expecting mothers. Fortunately, it aids over 49 million Americans who are in poverty and has been in affect since the New Deal Unfortunately, it is one of the most expensive government programs and it is majorly lacking funds

National Youth Administration established in 1935 Fortunately, it helped train and provide jobs to those 16-25 years old Unfortunately, it was government funded and eventually reached the maximum allotted budget, so it was shut down Increase the price of college admission because of high quantities of people going to college

Food and Drug Cosmetic Act established in 1938 Replaced the PFDA Fortunately, it Prohibited the mislabeling of food, drugs, and cosmetics Unfortunately, it increased costs of printing labels because they required more information

United Automobile Workers established in 1935 Fortunately, it helped workers in the automotive industry fight for better conditions and rights by staging a strike. Unfortunately, the strike stopped production of a product with a high demand, therefore damaging the economy.

United States Housing Authority established in 1938 Fortunately, it made housing affordable by making loans and materials more affordable Unfortunately, it made worker’s bottom lines lower and it took federal funding increasing the National debt
