COVER

There was an old man who had a tough day; I mean nothing that day was going his way

1

He set out to build a backyard fire and as he was walking he tripped on a wire

2

He cleaned himself off and picked out a tree and as he was chopping he swallowed a bee (illustration – face shocked with a bee at entrance of mouth, stinger prominent, while chopping a tree with an axe)

3

He fell from the ladder as the bee buzzed and stung and then he was stuck with a big swollen tongue (highlight old man with large swollen tongue)

4

The sun was shining so he watered the grass and from the back of his hose his face took a splash (Illustration)

5

The water pushed him onto the ground into marching ants, some red, some brown. (Illustration)

6

The ants nibbled and fribbled in the legs of his pants and he looked like he was doing a wild crazy dance. (Illustration)

7

He next set out to rake up the leaves but then…… a spider appeared and climbed in his long beard (Illustration)

8

It tickled and crawled and spun in his beard, he yelled for help but he was not heard! (Illustration)

The spider finally craweled out on its own and left the poor old man alone.

9

An exhausting day he sighed and sighed, but I will NOT give up, he beamed with pride. (Illustration)

So, he chopped down the tree.
