What is world cultural Heritage?

UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scintific and Cultural Organisation) designate World HeritageSites and takes them under protection. The sites can be “cultural ” and “natural”. They must be a unique landmark both geograsphically and historically. They might be ancient ruins, historical structures, buildings, cities, desert, forests,islands, lakes, monuments, mountains or wilderness areas.There are 1,121 World Heritage sites: 869 cultural, 213 natural and 39 mixed.

What is world intangible heritage ? Talha

Cultural Heritage includes traditions or living expressions such as oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe, the knowledge and skills to produce traditional crafts. The importance of intangible cultural heritage is to maintain cultural diversity.

Chichen Itza (or Cichen Itza as it speaks) is a Maya city of Itza, located between Valladolid and Mérida, in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. It has probably been the religious center of the Yucatan for a while. Today, it is the second most visited archaeological site in Mexico. The Kukulkan (Kukuul Kaan) pyramid, known as El Castillo (castle) in Chichen-Itza, is 24 meters high compared to the upper platform. (It is lower than the pyramid at Uxmal, which was 40 m high at the end of the 10th century.) It is one of the new seven wonders of the world, selected on 7 July 2007. The geophysics researches show that around 300 obelisks were used in the structures founded in Göbeklitepe. Hierapolis was an ancient Greek city located on hot springs in classical Phrygia in southwestern Anatolia. Its ruins are adjacent to modern Pamukkale in Turkey and currently comprise an archaeological museum. The site has the Tomb of Philip the Apostle. The hot springs have been used as a spa since the 2nd century BC, with many patrons retiring or dying there. The large necropolis is filled with sarcophagi, most famously that of Marcus Aurelius Ammianos, which bears a relief depicting the earliest known example of a crank and rod mechanism. The great baths were constructed with huge stone blocks without the use of cement and consisted of various closed or open sections linked together. There are deep niches in the inner section,[including the bath, library, and gymnasium.
